www.curtisint.com: This site feels like ancient history
Every now and then I come across a website that seems stuck in time. I’m guessing from the copyright on this site that it hasn’t been touched since about 2003. I won’t bore you with all the stuff that’s horribly, horribly wrong (ugly fonts, weird proportions, confusing & clunky navigation, hideously ugly home page, pathetic search that can’t locate a model number, etc.), but holy cow, you’d think they were a restaurant or something.
Here was my torture test: try to find a manual for the water cooler model MWC 519. Seriously. Try it.
I am trying to find out why my new Igloo water cooler is not cooling water effectively. What I found out was that my Igloo-brand water cooler is not made by Igloo, and doesn’t exist on igloocooler.com. Go figure. Apparently Curtis International, in the backwoods of Ontario somewhere, makes the cooler and sticks the Igloo brand name on it. But at least there’s a phone number.
